What We Print: Supplied Garment Policy

At Duluth Screen Printing (DSP), we are committed to delivering the highest quality prints for every project. We carefully select and inspect the garments we source to ensure the best results for your unique design. Over the years, we've learned that certain items have decoration limitations that can affect print quality. When you choose DSP, you can trust that our team will recommend garments that make your design stand out in the best way possible.

For this reason, we generally do not print on customer-supplied garments. However, if you'd like to proceed with an order using your own garments, please be aware of the following guidelines:

  1. Pricing: We will price out your project based on the value of your supplied items. Garments supplied in styles DSP has access to are almost always more expensive than having DSP source the same item from our wholesale vendors, so we recommend having us source items whenever it's something available from one of our wholesale partners.

  2. New Items Only: We only print or embroider on brand new, unworn, and unsoiled garments.

  3. Order Minimums: For customer-supplied garments, we require a minimum of 20 pieces per design or garment style, plus 1 additional piece for test printing. This minimum goes up to 50+ pieces for more intricate items or designs.

  4. Test Garments: The test print garment is used to ensure quality on all garments to the best of our ability and may not be returned with your final order. Test garments are not required on repeat orders of the same supplied garment, so long as the garment is from the same dye-lot and batch as the original supplied garments.

  5. Manufacturing Risks: DSP cannot be held responsible for manufacturing issues beyond our control, such as machinery malfunctions, dye migration, garments from different manufactured batches or dye-lots reacting differently from others, or unexpected garment performance. By supplying your own garments, you accept these risks.

  6. Replacement Policy: In the event DSP damages your garments due to a controllable error, we will offer to replace them with garments of a similar style at the value of what is entered on this form per garment, up to a maximum of $10 per garment. If you would prefer not to receive replacements, we can credit or reimburse you at a maximum value per garment no greater than what we charged on your order. For any garment value entered over $10, DSP will only cover up to $10 towards replacement garments. Submitting expensive or name brand items are not recommended for this reason, and the client accepts all risks associated with submitting these items.

  7. Timeline: Due to the inspection process, supplied garment orders often take 1-2 weeks longer than other jobs. In some cases, we may need to have you review and approve the test garment before proceeding with the rest of the order.

  8. Handling Requirements: All supplied items must be delivered unbagged with an inventory list emailed to "sales@duluthscreenprinting.com" - additional handling fees may apply.

If you'd like to proceed with customer-supplied garments, please complete the form below. One form is required per unique style of garment supplied or per project. For projects with multiple styles of supplied garments, please enter each style’s garment cost.
